Scott County fair to arrive soon

Fair time is coming. The Scott County Fair will begin September 5 and end on September 9. Scott County Extension Homemakers are gearing up for the Scott County Fair but also for the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair. The Scott County Fair books will be available in the Scott County Extension Office. Creative Arts entries for the Scott County Fair must be taken to the Scott County Fair Grounds on September 5.
As of August 1, the Creative Arts Catalogues and the Creative Arts Applications will be available in the Scott County Extension office for the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair. Those applications can be left at the office with $2 entry fee per person, please do not bring items to be entered in the fair to the office. Those applications will be mailed by August 14 to the fair office in Fort Smith. But, the fair also will have an online entry form on their on their site http://www.arkansasoklahomafair.com/. This online entry form also requires a $2.00 entry fee per person. For those who do not enter their own entries online or fill out a form prior to August 14, Scott County Extension Homemakers will offer assistance at the Scott County Extension Office on the following dates and times: August 15 through August 18 from 8 am to 1 pm, August 23 through 25 from 8 am to pm, and August 29 through September 1 from 8 am to 1 pm. All entries online or on paper must have a $2.00 entry fee per person, this is a requirement of the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair.
Scott County Extension Homemakers will also take entries that have been judged at the Scott County Fair and have been entered by September 1 in the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair to Fort Smith to be entered in that fair on September 18 and then return them to the Scott County Extension Office when released from Fort Smith.
