2017 Scott County Fair has begun

The Scott County Fair is ongoing at the Scott County Fairgrounds in Waldron, and will continue to run through Saturday, September 9.
The following is the 2017 Scott County Fair schedule:Tuesday, September 5th: noon to 6 p.m., home economics entry check-in for everything except food preparation (baked goods & candy) and fresh cut flowers; 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. the commercial booth/ag trade show set up.
Wednesday, September 6th: from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. is the home economics entry check-in for food preparation (baked goods & candy) and fresh cut flowers; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. home economics judging (building closed during judging); noon to 5 p.m. commercial booth/ag trade show set up; 4 p.m. poultry chain testing - outside fair grounds; noon to 8 p.m. cattle, goats, hogs, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, and poultry check in; 5 p.m. home economics and commercial building open to the public; 7 p.m. gospel singing and worship.
Thursday, September 7th: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. school days (Pre-K through 1st grade); 9 a.m. Extension Homemakers building opens; 10 a.m. - poultry judging; 10 a.m. livestock judging.
Friday, September 8th: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. school days (grades: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th); 9 a.m. rabbit judging; 5 p.m. Junior Livestock Buyer's Dinner; 6 p.m. Junior Livestock Auction.
Saturday, September 9th: 8 a.m. Homesteading Expo sponsored by City of Waldron; 9 a.m. extension homemakers building commercial building open; 10 a.m. - kid's cookie contest; 11 a.m. - pet show; 11:30 a.m. 4-H poultry chain auction; 12 p.m. - antique tractor pull; 5 p.m. - home economics entry check out and livestock released; 5 p.m. - commercial booth/farmer's market closing.
