Fall Council meeting held by Scott County Extension Homemakers

Scott County Extension Homemakers held their Fall Council meeting Monday, October 30 at the Home Economics building at Scott County Fairgrounds.
The theme for the meeting was “Friendships Stitched Together with Love Seldom Unravel” with the decorations following a quilting theme. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance to the US flag and was followed by the installation of new officers. Officers are as follows: Betty Overturf – Reporter, Leeann Forest – Secretary-Treasurer, Cindy
Nault – Vice-president, and Lisa Davis – President.
After a short business meeting, Letha Wilson of Fort Smith, Arkansas spoke on quilting. Letha is a member of Belle Point Quilters Guild and teaches quilting classes.
She led the group through her beginnings as a quilter and ended up showing the group her latest project.
After a luncheon of Mexican food, the meeting ended with the reading of the Homemakers Creed.
