Arrow Dogs headed to State

After placing first in the Arkansas Archery Region 5 regionals, the Waldron senior high ‘Arrow Dogs’ will make a state appearance on March 2.

Bulldog archer Dayten Manning scored 291 points earning an individual win during the regional competition. 

Additional top shooter archers for the Bulldogs were Chase Hale, 271; Lincoln Hale and Gatlin Lovett, each with 279; and Hayden Chronister, 271.

For the senior Lady Bulldogs, Tori Woodard had 262; Vanessa Orozco, 251; Whitney Richmond, 249; and Alexis Lane, 243.

Twenty-three senior high archers competed during the Feb. 9 regionals held at Darby Jr. High in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Placing third in junior high regional competition were the Waldron junior high Bulldogs. Top archers for the junior Bulldog team were Brantly Lunsford , 276; Will Solomon, 244; Scout Young, 229; and Noah Patrick, 215.

Emily Louk took the top spot for the junior Lady Bulldogs archers with a score of 246. Following Louk was Brooklyn Bothers, 240; Daisy Lane, 238;  and Keylor Hale, 222.

The junior Bulldog archers will compete at state on March 1.
