Bates resigns as Waldron Football Coach

The Waldron Bulldogs are searching for their next head football coach. Coach Jonathan Bates is no longer at the helm of the Bulldogs football program, and will be joining the Jessieville Lions Football staff next season.

According to Waldron Superintendent Daniel Fielding, Bates’ letter of resignation was accepted during the School Districts December Board Meeting.

Fielding noted, “We are actively seeking a new head football coach for the Waldron Bulldogs.”

In two seasons as the head coach at Waldron, Bates led the Bulldogs to a 2-8 record both years.

Prior to coaching at Waldron, Bates spent 2017 as the head football coach at Dierks, and led the Outlaws to a 1-9 record.
