Time to assess your personal property

“You can now assess your personal property online at www.countyservice.net,” said Terri Churchill, Scott County Assessor. The time frame for assessing your personal property is from Jan. 1 through May 31st of each year. If assessed after the deadline, an Arkansas State mandated 10% penalty will be added without exceptions.

Business Assessment forms will be mailed during the first part of the year. They must be delivered or postmarked by May 31st or an Arkansas State mandated 10% penalty will be added without exceptions.

If you are age 65 or older OR if you are 100% disables and bring supporting documentation to the Scott County Assessor’s office in the Scott County Courthouse, the Homestead amount of your Real Estate Assessment will freeze at the current value unless significant improvements are made or there is a millage increase.

For additional information or questions, contact the Assessor’s office at 479-637-2666.
