Melva Ediline (Burden) Jett

Melva Ediline (Burden) Jett passed away at home in Whittier, California on Jan. 25, 2019.  Melva was born to William and Elizabeth Burden in Waldron Arkansas on Feb. 4, 1924.  She moved to Oklahoma as a child, and later in life married Calvin Eugene Jett in Waldron, Arkansas on Dec. 21, 1944. Soon after, Eugene and Melva moved to California, making it home for them and their two children.

Melva is survived by her loving husband, Eugene, her son Danny Jett, her daughter Melody Graham, grandchildren Ryan Jett and Jenna Taylor, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her brother Leo Burden and sister Joyce Vandervoort, and sister in laws Anna Beaty, Jo Johnson and Ruby Burden.

Melva loved her family and would play basketball and play dough with her great grandchildren any time she had the chance.  We rejoice that she knew Jesus and is now in her eternal home with streets of gold and has no more pain or worries.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
