Mary “Antoy” Burnett, Farmer, Weiche

Mary “Antoy” Burnett, Farmer, Weiche joined the angels in heaven on April 4, 2020.  She was born to Shiphrah and Curtis Burnett on July 31, 1929.  Antoy grew up in Scott County and graduated from Waldron High School in 1949.  She and her husband Maurice (Chig) Farmer ran the Rock Cafe during the 50’s and 60’s.  She moved to Ft Smith in 1971 and worked in a variety of jobs.  She moved back to Waldon in 1995 and spent the rest of her life enjoying time with her family.

Our Mom was always involved with all of her children’s activities even though she spent many hours working at the cafe.   A favorite was trips to the lake to ski on Sundays after church.  She supported the hobby of raising and riding horses.  She studied painting and became a good artist.  She and several friends were in a Bible Study class at WestArk Church. She was the most loving, hardworking and energetic Mom in the World.

Antoy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice Farmer (father of her children), husband Elmer Weiche, four brothers: Raymond and Clemon Burnett, Jimmy Thompson, and Junior Poe, and her sister Patricia Burnett.

She is survived by her 3 children, Michael Farmer, Melissa Bingham and Maurene (Larry) Brigance, all of Waldron.  Also brothers Earnest Poe and Bobby, Kenneth, Delane and Curtis JR. Burnett, and sisters Billie Jean Forman and Debra Burnett.    She’s survived by grandchildren Mark (Sandy) Brigance, Keith (Bethany) Brigance, Laura (Eddie) Spence, and Nathan (Erica) Bingham.  Great grandchildren are Trenton (Paige) Garrett, Brandon (Ryan) Garrett, Matt Brigance, Reagan Spence, Dylnn Spence, Maebree Brigance and Raphael Bingham.  One great-great grandchild Gatlin Garrett.
