Rachel Warner

Rachel Davis Warner, 98, of Needmore, Arkansas, went to see her Lord in Fort Smith on November 24, 2021. Rachel was born in Panola County, Texas on January 13, 1923, to Callie Mae and Robert Davis.

Rachel married Herbert Francis Warner on January 31, 1944, and together they had 4 children, Dan, Pat, David, and Richard.

Rachel thrived as a loving spouse, a devoted homemaker, and through employment outside of her home. She worked alongside her daughter, Pat, as a waitress and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and extended family. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rachel, her husband Herbert, were co-founders of the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church of Waldron, Arkansas. Rachel was a devoted Catholic and active member of the church for over 70 years.

Rachel is survived by her 4 children, Daniel Warner of Fort Smith, Patricia Gilbreth of Fort Smith, David Warner and his wife Linda of Moab, Utah, Richard Warner of Waldron, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Chris Gilbreth, Trish Gilbreth, Sadie Warner, Sarah Swanson, and Tessa Henri; 6 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 51 years, Herbert Francis Warner, her parents, Robert and Callie Mae Davis, a brother, and four sisters.

Visitation services will be held at Martin Funeral Home, 101 W 4th, Waldron, AR 72958, on December 1st from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, on December 1st at 2:00 pm, burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Mena.

Memorial donations may be made in Rachel’s name to St. Jude Thaddeus Church.
