Vera Elizabeth Martin was carried by angels to Paradise to meet the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Vera was a former resident of the Denton Community of Scott County where she resided for 26 1/2years. Mom was born February 23, 1938 in St. Helens, Lancashire England of the United Kingdom. She came over to the United States at the age of 18 with her parents, Robert Young and Beatrice (Wadsen) Young. She lived in Fort Worth, Texas where she met her husband, Charles W. Martin. They were married for 54 years and had three children, Neal Martin of Waldron, Arkansas; Larry Martin of Roseville, Arkansas and the late Karen Martin Mayes who was of Searcy, Arkansas. They moved from Texas to Waldron, Arkansas in November 1972. Mom loved the Lord and was a Christian. She worked hard for a living on the ranch taking care of the cattle, keeping cattle records, gardening, cutting hay and most of all taking care of the family.

Mom was blessed with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but only for a short time.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 15, 2022 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Fort Chaffee off of Rattlesnake Canyon Road officiated by Bro. Steve Breedlove. Pallbearers will be Alex Martin, Eathan Martin, Jared Mayes, Larry Parsons, TK Dictson and Tommy Sharp.
